Lizbeth Navarro is a ceramic artist and educator born and raised in Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico. She earned her BFA in Ceramics from California State University, Long Beach in 2010. Liz’s work is deeply inspired by her multicultural heritage and a lifelong appreciation for handmade objects. Her ceramic illustrations often feature galaxies, animals, stars, and elements of the natural world, reflecting her belief in the interconnectedness of all living things—a theme central to both her artistic and teaching practices. In addition to her studio work, Liz has taught ceramics through various nonprofit organizations serving underrepresented communities throughout Los Angeles. She views clay as both a creative medium and a tool for self-discovery, encouraging students to explore imagination, play, observation, and personal expression over technical perfection. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in the idea that clay, though humble, offers endless possibilities while teaching patience, resilience, and the value of letting go. By creating a welcoming and nonjudgmental environment, Liz designs projects that invite curiosity, gradual challenge, and creative exploration for students of all skill levels. Liz founded her own studio, The 2026 Ceramics Department, where she teaches pop-up bilingual ceramics workshops throughout Los Angeles, California.

Marissol Martins is a Los Angeles-based metalsmith and the owner of Sol Search Jewelry, a handcrafted jewelry brand known for its nature-inspired designs and gemstone pieces. With nearly a decade of experience, she teaches beginner-friendly soldering and ring-making classes focused on building foundational metalsmithing skills. Marissol teaches out of her storefront at CRAFTED at the Port of Los Angeles and is currently expanding into a new private studio in Glendale, CA, where she?ll continue to offer small group and private workshops. Her hands-on, welcoming approach makes metalsmithing accessible and fun for all skill levels.
