Haven Stead WineryThe vineyards are hidden in mountains west of Nevada City, on a steep and remote hillside at the end of a winding road. They are mountain vineyards rising 2200' feet above sea level and terraced into 50-million-year-old blue clay soils and limestone. The rows curve over the unmarked hill above the steep canyons of South Yuba River. The river is visible 1000' below, where Rush Creek flows into the old crossing at Jones Bar. Making great wine is markedly different from other accomplishments. It is an art that has been compared to poetry and painting. The essentials of winemaking can be mastered with simple learning, but the spirit of great wine cannot be taught.

Janna ArutyunyanBorn in the vibrant city of Tbilisi, Georgia, Janna Arutyunyan has been immersed in creativity since childhood, exploring painting, poetry, writing, and fashion design. Her passion led her to the Tbilisi Fashion Academy, where she launched her career as a fashion designer in the 1980s. In 1991, she immigrated to the U.S., balancing her studies in management while raising three children as a single mother. Now based in Los Angeles, Janna's love for travel and cultural exploration continues to inspire her artistic evolution.
In 2018, a chance encounter with acrylic fluid art sparked a new creative passion. At 55, she embraced mixed media, developing a signature style of three-dimensional floral paintings. This journey gave rise to Janna Passion Art, where she experiments with innovative techniques, including the "blooming effect" and fluid painting without traditional brushes. Her work, best exemplified in her Iris Garden series, transforms everyday objects --craft sticks, pins, straws, and yarn --into tools of artistic expression. Her latest series, Blooming Through the Ashes, pays tribute to her Armenian heritage, while her Ocean Waves collection merges fluid art with resin techniques.
Beyond canvas, Janna extends her artistry to functional pieces, creating food-safe coasters and serving boards using eco-friendly, biodegradable resin. Her work has been showcased at renowned festivals and galleries, including the Catalina Festival of Art, Stay Gallery, Laguna Art-A-Fair, and Lark Gallery. She also actively participates in art walks across Southern California, from Venice Summer Fest to San Diego's Mission Art Walk.
Passionate about giving back, Janna donates artwork to various charitable causes, supporting student scholarships, arts programs, and relief efforts for Armenia. Through Janna Passion Art, she continues to transform a serendipitous artistic discovery into a lifelong creative journey.

LYUDMILA BALIANMost of my paintings are inspired by my travels, especially across Europe. I work primarily with acrylic paint, often incorporating 3D elements like wood pieces, small chains, and textured gels. These materials help me express the layers and character of the places I've seen not just the landscapes themselves, but the feeling of being there.

Wing StudioMy many years visiting Hawaii allows me to absorb it's multi-cultural life style and their love of exotic flowers. I am especially impressed by their flower arrangements displayed at not only public spaces but also at homes. This inspires me to take on the design and making of flowers vases. I choose wood as the medium because it blends well with the natural setting. The vases are intended to be displayed independently as an art piece, or as a compliment to a contemporary flower arrangement so that the flowers it contains will compliment each other on equal footings.
